The Verifier is an organization (businesses or service providers) that requests and verifies the authenticity of credentials presented by holders. They have the following functionalities:
Request Credential Presentation: Request Holders to present relevant credentials that demonstrate their qualifications or fulfill specific requirements.
Verify Credentials: Validate the authenticity and integrity of presented credentials using the DID and cryptographic methods, ensuring that the information provided by holders is trustworthy and reliable.
Make Trust Decisions: Based on the verified credentials, make informed decisions about the Holder (e.g., granting access, approving transactions).
